National Workshop on Materials for Transportation

The rapid evolution of transportation systems across rail, road, marine, and aviation sectors has placed growing emphasis on advanced materials and innovative technologies that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability. In this context, the workshop aims to explore recent advancements in materials science that are transforming modern mobility. Key focus areas include advanced materials for transportation applications, materials for energy storage and electrified systems, high-performance composite materials, and emerging trends promoting sustainability in material development. The workshop seeks to foster knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration toward the development of lightweight, durable, and environmentally responsible materials for future transportation systems.

As part of this mission, GSV is organizing a one-day workshop on “Materials for Transportation” on 18th February 2026. The workshop will bring together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to discuss recent technological developments and material innovations across transportation sectors. By providing a collaborative platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas, the workshop aims to strengthen the understanding of materials, design approaches, and technologies shaping next-generation transportation systems and to encourage partnerships that support safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility solutions.
