Message from the Dean (ECE)

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) is India’s only university exclusively dedicated to the development of human resources and the dissemination of knowledge in the fields of transportation and logistics. As logistics plays a critical role in driving economic growth, the Government of India has launched transformative initiatives such as the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan and the National Logistics Policy, aimed at building integrated infrastructure and streamlining logistics operations across the country. These developments reflect an urgent need to modernize the logistics ecosystem, reduce costs, and improve service efficiency—key enablers of India’s global competitiveness. Addressing these challenges requires a highly skilled workforce equipped with both domain expertise and technological know-how.

With a unique national mandate, GSV has designed a wide array of programs for students and working professionals, developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders. The university focuses on equipping learners with the latest knowledge in areas such as supply chain management, multimodal transportation, warehouse operations, and inventory management—all of which are being transformed by breakthroughs in digital technology and artificial intelligence.

As part of its continuing education and executive training mission, GSV conducts customized short-term and long-term programs for central and state government departments, public sector undertakings, and private sector organizations. These programs aim to bridge skill gaps and empower participants with cutting-edge tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. The sessions are delivered by renowned industry experts and in-house faculty, ensuring practical insights and an enriching learning experience for all participants.
