Engineer's day workshop

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) successfully organized a National Workshop on Sustainable Transportation on 15 September 2025 at the Sabhagriha, GSV Vadodara. The workshop was strategically held on Engineer's Day, paying tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, and aligned with the national vision for an integrated and green transport ecosystem. RVNL supported the event as a Platinum Sponsor.

The primary aim was to discuss emerging trends and challenges in sustainable transportation and to identify collaborative opportunities for advancing the sector. The objectives were to provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainable transportation principles, policies, and practical solutions; foster a multi-stakeholder dialogue among academia, industry, and policymakers; and generate actionable insights for research, innovation, and policy formulation.

The Chief Guest Addresses were delivered by Prof. Ashutosh Sharma (President, INSA) and Guests of Honour from leading transport sector organizations, including Shri Praveen Kumar (DFCCIL), Shri Sanjay Swarup (CONCOR), and Shri Uma Maheshwar (GE Aerospace).The core of the workshop featured ten expert talks from a distinguished panel representing railways, aviation, urban transport, policy planning, and industry. Speakers included senior officials from RVNL, NCRTC, Alstom, IITs, and leading entrepreneurs.

The National Workshop successfully served as a significant platform for knowledge exchange and networking, strengthening GSV's position as a thought leader in transportation education. The insights gathered will directly help curriculum development, research priorities, and future industry collaborations at GSV.
